Salary: £26,500 per annum

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Standard Office Hours

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and organised Administrator to join a residential children's home in Hove (BN3). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to work in a rewarding environment where they can make a real difference behind the scenes, supporting the smooth operation of a service that provides care for children and young people.

The Role

As the Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the home's management team, ensuring all records, documentation and day-to-day office tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing general administrative support to the Home Manager and wider team
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records
  • Managing emails, telephone enquiries and correspondence
  • Updating internal systems and databases
  • Preparing reports, letters and documentation
  • Organising meetings and maintaining diaries where required
  • Supporting compliance and ensuring records are maintained to regulatory standards
  • Ordering office supplies and managing general office administration
  • Assisting with HR administration, including recruitment paperwork and employee records
  • Liaising professionally with external agencies, professionals and families

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous administration experience (care sector experience is advantageous but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work independently
  • A professional, friendly and confidential approach
