Our Client is an established and highly regarded Fresh Produce / Fruit grower and supplier to the major retailers, catering & wholesale sectors. We currently offer an excellent Assistant Packhouse / Production Manager role to join the business at an exciting time of growth. The position of Assistant Packhouse / Production Manager will ensure the smooth flow of production across a Fresh Produce packing facility, meeting orders and customers' requirements through the effective management of a dedicated production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective management of Production Team Managers (c25 line staff on shift)
  • Plan and manage the production schedule on shift to ensure KPI's are achieved and time & waste reduced where possible
  • Work closely with colleagues and departmental Managers to ensure Quality, and Health & Safety requirements are maintained

Qualifications

  • Strong communication ability
  • Confident and personable approach to team management
  • Previous exposure to a production / packing environment
  • Experience in a Fresh Produce facility or Fresh Food Production is essential

  • This role is working as part of the management team and requires a 'hands on' approach in a fast-paced, perishable environment.
  • Location: Somerset
  • Hours: Monday to Saturday (Sunday and Wednesday as rest days)
  • Salary: up to £38k, dependent on experience
  • Russian, Bulgarian or Ukrainian language is required, alongside excellent English
