A market leader in their sector, our Client is an established and highly regarded Fresh Produce Supplier to the major retailers and catering & wholesale sectors. We currently offer an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting time of growth, to be based at their facility in Kent.
The position of Operations Manager will work on a shift basis working a night shift across 5 days to ensure the smooth flow of production across a large Fresh Produce packaging facility, meeting orders and customers’ requirements through the effective management of a dedicated production team.
Key responsibilities:
- Effective management of Production Team Managers
- Plan and manage the production schedule on shift to ensure KPI’s are achieved and time & waste reduced where possible
- Work closely with colleagues and departmental Managers to ensure Quality, and Health & Safety requirements are maintained
We require:
- Strong communication ability
- Confident and personable approach to team management
- Previous exposure to a production / packing FMCG environment
- Experience in a Fresh Produce facility or Fresh Food Production is essential
This role is working as part of the management team and requires a 'hands on' approach in a fast-paced, perishable environment.
Location: Kent
Hours: Mon-Fri start 8.30pm to 6.30am - 5 nights a week
Salary: c£45k, dependent on experience
