Our Client is an established business, who are now entering into a new and exciting phase of growth, with the supply of Fresh Fruit to the retail sector. With definitive expansion plans in place, we are now seeking a Commercial / Supply Chain Manager on their behalf to oversee both aspects of the role.
Working in partnership with Growers and Retail customers, this standalone role will report to the Managing Director and have responsibility for the Commercial and Supply Chain, successfully delivering the retail customers’ short and long term goals.
The Role:
- Manage retail customers
- Monitor weekly grower prices / costings and availability
- Manage stock, planning and forecasting
- Liaise with the Grower base in Spain
- Collation of vehicle loadings from Spain that entails checking to customer orders and verification of software generated import declarations.
- Analysis of customer quality control reports and liaising with suppliers to initiate feedback to customers and agree correctional procedures.
- Load planning and communication with suppliers.
We require:
- Experience in a Commercial / Procurement / Supply Chain position
- Supply Chain knowledge with exposure to short shelf life / just in time supply chains, serving the UK Retailers
- Fresh Produce experience
- Experience of dealing with Growers in Europe
- Professional, approachable & confident
- Spanish language would be beneficial
