Quality Control Administrator Warehouse - Taiko Acton Contract: Full Time Salary: £27,000 Contracted Hours: 40 Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK. As the Warehouse Quality Control Administrator you will play a key role in overseeing quality control practices within our warehouse operations. This position involves ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet quality standards, monitoring storage conditions, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, organisational skills, and experience in food safety and warehouse operations. • Good understanding of the operation, products and procedure • High level of reliability, flexibility and punctuality • Advance IT literacy with experience of MS Office and Excel • Driven and dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills • Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail Due to expansion we are looking for QC Admistrators working 7 days a week on a rolling rota working 5pm to 1am (additional shift allowance is paid ) Inspection of any Goods-in in terms of the Quality and Quantity to see if they can be used in the Production with lower yield rather than the judgement for the food safety (In case QC judges that the goods are not acceptable for the foods safety, they should be rejected) Inspect incoming raw materials (including packaging) ensuring that they are within specification and report any out of specification. Monitor and make sure that the raw materials (including packaging) are within the specification during the storage and transfers. Check compliance to food safety and QA procedures including control measure for allergens. Ensure raw materials are stored in the correct manner. Ensure FIFO followed by the raw material team all the time Maintain warehouse-controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner. Handover the record sheets to Technical department for reviewing. To make sure that all the deliveries notes for all the Goods-in for the day shall be signed for actual correct volume, quality and date by Warehouse team including the delivery notes for all the Goods-in for the day in Miniclipper and Transkold. Providing BB dates, Batch numbers for each delivery to Warehouse Systems Controller so that they may book the stock in accurately and create labels for the goods. Applying the labels to all goods received. Accurate processing of transfers to production on Navision for vegetables on a daily basis and reporting any shortages to purchase team and Supply Chain manager. Responsible for stock control on a daily basis. Ensure that all transfers to Production are recorded accurately Work closely with and provide cover to Warehouse Systems Controller in case of absence Assist Warehouse staff with their duties if QC task is not busy Ensure Warehouse areas and yard are kept clean and tidy
