What you’ll need:

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene Standards in the food manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience as a trainer or in a similar role
  • Good understanding of the operation and products
  • High level of reliability and flexibility is required to cover different shifts for the training
  • Punctuality is essential
  • Good communication skill in English
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Relevant training certifications (e.g., Train the Trainer, Food Safety Certification) are beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills

The Factory Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programs for employees within the food manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety regulations, manufacturing processes, and adult learning principles. The Factory Trainer will collaborate with department heads to identify training needs, develop curriculum, and ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Training Program Development:

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and goals
  • Design and develop training programs that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on activities
  • Assist in creating/updating production procedures/manual by taking photos of the process step by step

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing employees, ensuring the key trainings get delivered to all stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Utilise a variety of training methods, such as on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning, to accommodate different learning styles
  • Monitor and assess training effectiveness, adjusting current training programs as needed
  • Train staff in any position on any shift as required
  • Train any staff when the new product is launched and monitor them in terms of correct procedures
  • Continuously teach any staff why they need to follow the procedures by understanding the Technical standard and requirements
  • Ensure documented H&S training is completed for all production staff, for every machine and equipment they use

Food Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all training programs incorporate and reinforce food safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations, integrating this knowledge into training programs
