We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR and Payroll Administrator to join our People team and support the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll using internal systems and in collaboration with external providers
  • Ensure accurate calculation of pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
  • Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with HMRC and GDPR requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, including contracts, right-to-work documentation, and holiday records
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including issuing contracts, induction scheduling, and exit interviews
  • Assist with absence management and employee data reporting
  • Coordinate HR documentation, letters, and communications
  • Assist with weekly recruitment hires

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR and/or payroll administration role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with HRIS and payroll software preferred
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive information with integrity
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
