We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR and Payroll Administrator to join our People team and support the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on accurate and timely payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll using internal systems and in collaboration with external providers
- Ensure accurate calculation of pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
- Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with HMRC and GDPR requirements
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, including contracts, right-to-work documentation, and holiday records
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including issuing contracts, induction scheduling, and exit interviews
- Assist with absence management and employee data reporting
- Coordinate HR documentation, letters, and communications
- Assist with weekly recruitment hires
What weβre looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar HR and/or payroll administration role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with HRIS and payroll software preferred
- Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive information with integrity
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
