As the Hygiene Shift Manager, you will lead the Hygiene team during your shift, taking full ownership of hygiene operations across the site. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards in hygiene, food safety, and sanitation, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, customer standards, and legislation.
- Lead and develop the Hygiene Team to ensure completion of hygiene schedules to the highest standard.
- Maintain and improve hygiene, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the site.
- Support Engineering and Production with line setup, deep cleans, and maintenance.
- Review and enhance hygiene practices, procedures, and equipment to meet legal and customer requirements.
- Manage training, audits, documentation, and supplier liaison for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Communicate hygiene standards across departments and support cross-functional teams and audits.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and customer requirements; support the Head of Technical as needed.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a similar hygiene leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of hygiene, cleaning chemicals, COSHH, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and technical teams.
- Experience in audit preparation and customer-facing hygiene documentation.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Can work 4 on 4 off nights & days.
