We are currently looking for a Director of Finance and Technology & Innovation who will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of excellent services within our Finance, and Technology and Innovation teams.

This role is a permanent role with a salary of £134,040.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and operating as a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Director of Finance & Technology provides strategic leadership across the organisation’s financial stewardship, treasury, procurement, and technology and innovation functions.

  • Criteria for the role
  • Qualified Accountant to level 7, ACA, ACCA, plus 10 years post qualification experience.
  • Have 10 years post qualification experience.
  • Significant executive or senior strategic leadership experience within housing, property, regulated services, or similarly complex environments.
  • Experience of advising Boards and senior executive teams on strategic financial and commercial matters.

Operate effectively as a strategic executive leader within a complex organisation.

  • Proven experience leading high‑performing finance functions alongside broader corporate or transformation services such as IT.
  • Demonstrate expert-level financial, commercial, and strategic leadership capability within a complex and regulated operating environment.

About the role

This postholder will be a key member of the Executive Management Team, ensuring the delivery of our vision, values, business strategy and ambitious transformation programme.

  • Some of the duties of the Director of Finance and Technology & Innovation include:
  • Setting the Finance and Technology Directorate’s strategic and operational standards in line with requirements for analysing and reporting of financial performance.
  • Accountable for the leadership, performance and continuous improvement of Finance and Technology & Innovation services, to deliver results in line with the Corporate Plan, 30‑year Business Plan, whilst managing financial risk.
  • Lead with a people‑centric and inclusive approach that empowers colleagues, strengthens accountabilities, and builds a high‑performing culture.
  • Develop senior leaders and teams to build capability, succession strength, and future organisational capacity.
