As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Grounds & Biodiversity Officer to join us during our seasonal peak. Reporting to the Team Leader, this role is responsible for overseeing a team undertaking grounds and environmental maintenance tasks in our homes and across our communities, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring work schedules are completed on time and all plant, machinery and equipment is secure, maintained and utilised effectively, maintaining health and safety standards and requirements for the team at all times. The role is permanent with a salary of £27,332 a year, rising to £29,805 per annum. As we expand to meet demand, there are opportunities for career growth in many technical and management directions.
About the role
The role of Grounds & Biodiversity Officer is pivotal within our Neighbourhood Team as they work to achieve operational targets and service standards. The successful Grounds & Biodiversity Officer will be working as part of our Property and Land Services team, following a well-established set of job objectives and processes to safely produce work of a high standard whilst ensuring accurate reporting of information to customers and colleagues.
About You
To be successful in the role, our new Grounds & Biodiversity Officer team member must have experience in conducting a role of a similar nature and be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Ability to co-ordinate a team
- Excellent team player
- Experience in ground maintenance or in a similar industry
- Have a current and valid driving licence with the ability to manoeuvre a variety of vans and vehicles
- Hold a minimum Level 2 Qualification or have equivalent experience
- Resilience in challenging and conflicting situations
You will also require a valid driving licence or have the ability to travel through the borough consistently. As part of the role, you may be required to drive a company vehicle and therefore all candidates will need to undertake a driving assessment which will be provided by Tai Tarian.
