We have a permanent, full-time position available with a competitive pay and benefits package including a starting salary of £30,997 per annum, rising to £34,119 per annum after key competencies of the role are achieved. We are looking for a Copper Foundation Supervisor who will be reporting to the Senior Operations Supervisor. This role is responsible for supervising and supporting a team of manual workers to enable them to attain valuable knowledge, skills and experience in a variety of horticultural, neighbourhood and trade disciplines to increase employability skills. During the team’s placement, you will be providing support, guidance, structure and encouragement to individuals to ensure the best possible experience while they return or embark on their work journey. Working within our community you will be key in setting standards of work and behaviours ensuring the team deliver excellent customer service.
Criteria for the role:
- Educated to a minimum Level 2, or equivalent experience in grounds maintenance.
- Valid Health and Safety Certificate (CSCS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safety).
- Have a current and valid driving licence with the ability to manoeuvre a variety of vans and vehicles.
About the role:
Some of the duties of the Copper Foundation Supervisor include:
- Leading the Copper Foundation Team, our employability scheme, day to day to enhance skills, work ethic and behaviours to increase the employability of team members at the end of their placement.
- Ensure a safe working environment whilst undertaking duties, such as complying with RA’S, COSHH, HAVS, AUDIO and PPE requirements, and working safely.
- Support the team in obtaining the necessary skills and knowledge in order to obtain valuable work experience ensuring regular feedback and encouragement is provided through 1-2-1s to maximise a successful outcome, to become employable in the future.
- Undertake all people supervisory elements for the team including setting standards of safety and behaviours and managing performance effectively, using Let’s Talk.
