Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant – Permanent (x2)
As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for 2 enthusiastic and motivated Grounds & Biodiversity Assistants to support the Grounds & Biodiversity Officer by being part of a team in the undertaking of grounds and environmental maintenance tasks, creating a positive first impression of our buildings, land, homes, and communities by ensuring they are professionally maintained generating an environment that is welcoming, safe, hygienic, and homely.
The role is permanent with a salary of £23,613.00 a year, rising to £25,439.00 per annum. As we expand to meet demand there are opportunities for career growth in many technical and management directions so there is room for you to forge your perfect job.
About the role
The role of Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant is a pivotal role within our Neighbourhood Team as they will support the Grounds and Biodiversity Officer in working to achieve operational targets and service standards.
The successful Grounds Maintenance Assistant will be working as part of our Property and Land Services team, following a well-established set of job objectives and processes to safely produce work of a high standard whilst ensuring accurate reporting of information to customers and colleagues.
About You
To be successful in the role of our new Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant team member must have experience in conducting a role of a similar nature and be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- At least 6 months experience in ground maintenance or in a similar industry.
- A keen interest in the environment and Biodiversity
- Ability and willingness to follow job activities and processes
- Be able to deliver a high standard of work within deadlines
- Resilience in challenging and conflicting situations
- Be a strong team player
You will also require a valid manual driving licence. As part of the role, you will be required to drive a company vehicle and therefore all candidates will need to undertake a driving assessment which will be provided by Tai Tarian.
