As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Grounds & Biodiversity Assistants to support the Grounds & Biodiversity Officer by being part of a team in the undertaking of grounds and environmental maintenance tasks, creating a positive first impression of our buildings, land, homes, and communities by ensuring they are professionally maintained, generating an environment that is welcoming, safe, hygienic, and homely.

The role is permanent with a salary of £26,457 per annum. As we expand to meet demand, there are opportunities for career growth in many technical and management directions.

About the role

The role of Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant is pivotal within our Neighbourhood Team as they will support the Grounds and Biodiversity Officer in working to achieve operational targets and service standards. The successful Grounds Maintenance Assistant will be working as part of our Property and Land Services team, following a well-established set of job objectives and processes to safely produce work of a high standard whilst ensuring accurate reporting of information to customers and colleagues.

About You

To be successful in the role, our new Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant team member must have experience in conducting a role of a similar nature and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience of grounds maintenance or transferable practical outdoor work.
  • Experience using grounds maintenance equipment safely.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

You will also require a valid manual driving licence. As part of the role, you will be required to drive a company vehicle and therefore all candidates will need to undertake a driving assessment which will be provided by Tai Tarian.
