The Company
A Merchandiser passionate about the industry is needed to join a highly successfully supplier to large multiples, wholesalers and e-traders.
The Role
- Daily communication with customers and factories to update critical path with order progress.
- Maintaining critical path to ensure on time delivery to the customer.
- Working closely with factories and internal teams to ensure goods are shipped correctly and timely.
- Acting as point of contact for key accounts, providing updates and developing strong relationships.
- Management of production schedule, ensuring tasks are completed to plan to maintain the agreed shipment dates.
- Inputting sales orders onto the system.
- Placing garment purchase orders and raising Letters of Credit.
- Send contracts to factories and obtain confirmation of ex-factory dates and costs.
- Arranging fully informed artwork, size specs, packaging requirements to factories for all new orders.
- Develop or source all relevant packaging and barcodes.
- Working closely with the garment technical to ensure quality standards are met and inform factory on next steps.
- Analysing 1st samples for styling and production techniques and feedback instruction to factory on how to proceed.
- Feedback all fit comments to factories, ensuring all comments are adhered to for next sample.
- Managing testing and analysing reports, ensuring testing standards are adhered to.
- Driving development, pre-prod and production sealing, ensuring specifics are met for each retailer, and gaining the appropriate approval from the customer at each stage.
- Overseeing shipping for all orders, using customer specific booking platforms and freight forwarders.
- Invoice and packing list management.
- Managing various e-booking platforms including invoicing, packing lists and COO documentation requirements for specific retailers.
Skills Required
- Must have previous experience working for a busy supplier.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a baby/childrenswear background.
- Exceptional communication, organisational and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of critical paths.
- Experience of liaising with Far East on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of the production cycle.
- Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
