The Company
We’re looking for a dynamic Designer/Senior Designer to lead trend direction, product creation and multi-category design across leading brands in leisure and swimwear. This role covers Swim, Beach, Garments, Leisure and Outerwear, with a hands-on focus on setting seasonal direction, elevating product quality and working closely with suppliers and customers.
Hybrid working. Full-Time & Part-Time considered.
The role:
- Design Across Categories
- Design strong commercial ranges that align with brand handwriting
- Produce detailed technical specifications (tech packs)
- Trend & Creative Direction
- Set seasonal master trends and present to the wider business.
- Conduct comp shops and lead global trend research.
- Sourcing & Development
- Create sourcing packs and source fabrics/trims in the Far East
- Attend fit sessions, overseeing product development from concept to final sample.
- Team Leadership
- Manage & develop the Assistant Designer
- Deliver training, performance reviews, and career planning.
Requirements:
- A dynamic portfolio showcasing design capabilities.
- Strong ladieswear multi-category design background with 4+ years’ experience
- Expertise in design software Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.
- Swimwear experience is helpful but not essential.
- Clear understanding of garment construction, fabric and trims
- Demonstrates strong commercial awareness of brand price points, ensuring designs are viable.
- Ability to own creative direction whilst working independently.
- Confident presenting trends to the wider team and key customers
- Highly organised and able to balance creative and technical demands.
- A collaborative mentor who can guide junior team members
- Comfortable travelling to the Far East
