The Company:

A fantastic opportunity for a Ladies* Nightwear Designer to join a successful clothing importer and supplier of Nightwear. You will be designing for clients like Next . You will support the design team within a fast-paced environment, working on a number of projects at once and liaising with different teams.

The Role:

  • Designing ranges based on seasonal trends for a number of high street stores.
  • Using digital drawing skills to create graphics and print repeats.
  • Create detailed CADS and tech packs.
  • Create specs & ensure all details are correct.
  • Amended current designs and adding technical detail to CAD’s.
  • Working directly with overseas factories.
  • Chasing samples and working to a critical path.
  • Seasonal Trend research and presentation packs.
  • Liaising with fabric mills and organising in house fabric library.
  • Liaising with Far East factories to ensure samples arrive inhouse on time.
  • Photographing samples.
  • Creating designs, technical packs and mood boards.
  • Create artworks in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Organising the fabric and sample library.
  • Updating Excel spreadsheets to log and track samples & fabric developments.
  • Researching trends, key fabrics and imagery research & creating moodboards.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with the internal team & external suppliers.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Exceptional communication and team working skills.
  • Have strong hand & digital drawing skills to create graphics & print repeats.
  • Enthusiastic for fashion and the industry.
