As Garment Technologist, you’ll sit at the core of our product creation process, ensuring that every garment reflects the quality, fit and craftsmanship synonymous with the brand. Acting as the technical bridge between design vision and production reality, you’ll play a key role in bringing collections to life with precision and consistency. Working closely with the Product Development & Sourcing Manager, as well as design, development and suppliers, you’ll be responsible for owning the technical integrity of each style from initial concept through to final production. From leading fit sessions and refining specifications to managing samples and resolving technical challenges, you’ll ensure every garment meets the highest luxury standards. This is a hands-on role that blends technical expertise with problem-solving and attention to detail. You’ll collaborate across teams and with international partners to ensure garments are not only beautifully designed, but also expertly constructed and fit for purpose. This role offers a great opportunity to play a pivotal part in elevating product quality, while helping to refine processes and ways of working as the brand continues to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to translate creative concepts into commercially viable garments
- Create and maintain detailed technical specifications, size charts, grading, and construction details
- Lead fit sessions confidently across men’s and women’s multi categories
- Analyse fit, balance, proportion, construction and finishing to meet luxury quality standards
- Communicate confidently with factories and suppliers, both locally and internationally, building strong relationships
- Take ownership of samples at all stages (proto, SMS, PPS), ensuring high level of quality, consistency, and alignment with brand standards
- Identify and resolve technical and production issues, proposing solutions that maintain a high quality while supporting efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve fit consistency and product performance
- Support the sourcing of fabrics and trims with technical input, submitting and analysing test reports ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure garments and all components meet required standards for fit, quality, construction, fabric performance, and finishing for the luxury market
- Ensure critical path deadlines are achieved throughout development and production
What You’ll Need:
- ~5+ years’ experience as a Garment Technologist within a luxury or premium fashion brand
- ~ Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting, grading and fit across multiple product categories
- ~ Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for quality and finish
- ~ Experience working with international manufacturers and suppliers
- ~ Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines
- ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator
- ~ Strong knowledge of luxury manufacturing standards and finishing
- ~ Experience with testing requirements
- ~ Collaborative, solutions-focused, and proactive approach
- ~ Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
