Our client is looking for a highly skilled Pattern Cutter and Garment Technologist to join their team. The candidate must have a strong background in pattern cutting and grading
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience of pattern cutting software and ability to both draft patterns from sketch and make amendments to existing styles.
- Make pattern changes from 1st sample through to approval for size set.
- Check all patterns prior to grading
- Experience of grading and maintaining size sets across both menswear and womenswear styles.
- Able to grade directly onto key pattern styles.
- Grading patterns and set & follow consistent grading rules
- Set Grade Rules & Size Charts for all styles
- Sampling
- Clearly instruct the Sampling & Development Coordinator for all sampling POs needed from S1 to size set.
- Fit & approve on all new products, working with Design Team for all new products.
- Fit & approve on all existing product variations. Work with the Sampling & Development Coordinator for all amendments to Tech Packs.
- Check all Tech Packs and approve for production for all EU production.
- Conduct factory visits for urgent production, where a size set or PPS needs to be approved to proceed.
- Experience of providing fit and make comments and working with design team.
- Garment Tech
- Approve wash care instructions and advise on all fabric property artworks.
- Assess current and future production garments to proactively prevent quality issues
- Technical troubleshoot on new and existing garments
- Manage and investigate any product faults and identify issues to add to Product and Factory Guidelines
- Advise production and client teams internally on courses of action with faults
- Communication
- Communicate and work with design, product development and production teams.
- The role requires clear communication and ability to maintain consistency across all styles.
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to proactively problem solve and find clear solutions.
