The Company: Our client is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join the team. The suitable appointee will ideally be an experienced Warehouse Manager with a proven track record of leadership within the warehouse and distribution industry. A leader, with a working knowledge of warehouse operations, the ideal candidate will have worked within a fast-paced, dynamic environment either within fashion or a similar related product background business.
The Role:
- Overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations
- Managing, supervising, and motivating warehouse staff
- Ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Implementing and maintaining effective stock control processes
- Conducting regular stock takes and ensuring inventory accuracy
- Optimising warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency
- Ensuring garments are handled and stored to a high standard
- Maintaining health & safety standards and compliance at all times
- Liaising with internal teams regarding stock levels, orders, and deliveries
- Monitoring performance and identifying areas for improvement
Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager or senior warehouse role
- Experience within clothing, textiles, or retail environments is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Good IT skills, including experience with stock management systems
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations within a warehouse setting
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
