The Company:
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Experienced /Senior Menswear Designer to join a busy design team. Our client is a highly respected, trend lead global supplier of private label and branded products, looking to strengthen their team with a creative Designer. You will ideally have 5+ years of experience and be ready for your next exciting career challenge.
The Role:
- Developing seasonal stock collections across several in-house menswear brands.
- Working to customer briefs to present relevant collections that satisfy their style and colour direction for both UK & global contract customers.
- Creating technical packs for initial sample development and fine tuning with colourway options for production.
- Creating profiles for ordered styles on our PLMS database for orders to be raised by our merchandise department.
- Liaising with our China and Bangladesh offices, senior management, sales, garment technologists and merchandisers.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, knitwear experience is essential.
- Strong creative design skills.
- Excellent Illustrator CAD skills.
- Strong communication and experience of working with Global suppliers.
- Sound knowledge of knitting times, yarn counts and gauges.
- Commercially aware with a good eye to adapt high street trends and colour.
- Exceptionally well organised with good attention to detail.
- Able to work as part of a team.
