Senior Women’s Jersey Shape Designer to lead the design and development of innovative, commercially successful collections for a high-profile fashion partnership.
Working within the womenswear design team, this role drives forward-thinking jersey design while collaborating with in-house graphics, print, and fabric specialists to deliver standout results across the high street market.
Responsibilities
Design and develop women’s jersey collections aligned with brand vision, trend direction, and target customer.
Research seasonal trends, colours, fabrics, and silhouettes to shape cohesive, modern product ranges.
Create detailed CADs, mood boards, and technical packs for sampling and production.
Partner with graphics, print, and fabric teams to ensure design consistency and commercial appeal.
Present design concepts to internal buying teams and adapt based on feedback.
Source fabrics, trims, and finishes that meet both creative and commercial requirements.
Balance creativity, fit, comfort, and cost across all designs.
Monitor market and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Build strong relationships with factories and global supply partners.
Mentor and support junior team members within the design function.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in womenswear design with a strong focus on jersey.
