We are seeking a talented and experienced Soft Woven Designer to join our clients dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing soft woven garments, a keen eye for trends, and a passion for creating contemporary and innovative designs. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration skills to bring our vision to life.

The Role:

  • Design and develop soft woven collections from concept to final product, including dresses, blouses, skirts, tops, co-ords.
  • Conduct trend research and analysis to stay ahead of market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, and detailed technical drawings to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Select fabrics, trims, and finishes to enhance the design and functionality of the garments.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible.
  • Work closely with our Far East development team to oversee the creation of prototypes and fit samples.

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in soft woven garment design.
  • Experience working with Indian factories and mid-level high street.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and finishing techniques.
  • Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
  • Knowledge of fabric properties and handling of soft woven materials.
  • Ability to translate trends and consumer insights into commercially successful designs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
