Overview
We are looking to recruit for Supply Chain Planning Manager to work within the supply chain team to manage the product through its life cycle from development to delivery with a KEY FOCUS ON COST and to ensure we are sourcing correctly, in order to certify the critical path is not delayed in delivering goods.
The main focus will be negotiating prices with factories and analysing against product history to maximise the margin and manage supplier capabilities and relationships.
Role
- Liaising with external suppliers abroad and negotiating prices to meet customer demands as well as company\’s financial targets.
- Markets based world wide including India, Pakistan, China, Turkey.
- Assessing the strength and weaknesses of supply base to achieve product targets in terms of cost, quality and delivery to final destination.
- Analytics – Collation of price data from suppliers, sales, customers and previous orders to create pricing matrixes to ensure costs are at a minimum for sourcing.
- Sourcing products (new and existing) at the best competitive cost prices.
- Looking into new market developments alongside product development.
- Developing new markets and factory contacts that are quality assured and compatible with suppliers.
- Updating all new enquiries with cost prices from the relevant factories including MOQs and delivery terms.
- Certify that packaging, transport and accessories are addressed within the costing of products.
- Assisting on where all sample requests (new and amended) should be sent based on factory capabilities, cost price, MOQS and delivery.
- Providing feedback to sales and product development regarding new cost queries and presenting this in a digestible manner to ensure all team members are clear with the findings and recommendations.
- Attending supplier meetings / customer meetings when required.
- Work with accounts to show true margins using current freight rates to ensure our costings are correct.
- Preparing reports including – Supplier analysis reports from Data Analytics Dispatch report and Intake report.
- Verifying costs from supplier in line with costings – Including Testing charges / Transport costs / Nominated accessories costs.
- Assist raising Purchase orders on PLM system when required.
- Monitoring countries costs – including exchange gains and loss / trade deals and risk associated with country of supply.
