An experienced Purchaser is required to join an established fashion supplier with long term career progression. You will be responsible for selecting, purchasing, and managing the clothing and accessories that will be sold by the brand. This role is crucial in shaping the product offering, maintaining the brand's fashion-forward identity, and ensuring commercial success in a competitive retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage receipt of Order Confirmation documents ensuring all relevant info has been received from sales & the factory.
  • Organise style handover meetings upon order confirmation, and ensure the checklist is completed.
  • Work closely with the Factory to ensure orders are clearly interpreted and executed, using Video Conference/Email/Telephone communications and feedback any issues to your line manager.
  • Ensure internal PO system is up to date, by running reports regularly to check for errors and ensuring any changes that need to be made are done.
  • Critical Path management – weekly update on all stages of development per customer. To be attended by Technical, Production & Sales.
  • Compile & maintain document for any liabilities, debits etc. passed back to the factory or supplier, reviewed regularly (minimum monthly), until all issues are closed or liabilities used.
  • All internal documentation to be kept up to date.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a Buying or costing role.
  • Previous experience of Licensed products.
  • Knowledge of Printing and application techniques.
  • Knowledge of Children's wear safety requirements.
  • Construction and fit knowledge.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team, building strong cross‑functional relationships.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
