The Company: An exciting opportunity for a Customer Key Account Assistant – Hybrid role – to join a fast-moving manufacturing team, excellent training and development. We’re looking for a highly organised and analytical person with strong Excel skills to work within their commercial team. This is a varied role that combines sales reporting, account support and online product management. A big part of the job is reviewing customer sales data and turning it into clear reports, while also helping to make sure customer orders run smoothly and products are live and correct on retailer websites. It’s a fast-paced environment, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with data, spotting trends and getting stuck into the detail. This is a great opportunity for someone ambitious who wants to learn all aspects of a successful commercial function, from sales reporting and ecommerce through to customer account management.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales reporting and analysis
- Analyse customer sales data using Excel (pivot tables, lookups and formulas)
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports for internal teams and customer meetings
- Highlight trends, gaps and product performance across key customers and channels
- Support the Account Manager by preparing reports and identifying patterns in the data
- Account and order support
- Chase and manage sales forecasts from customers and communicate them internally
- Monitor forward orders, back orders and stock availability
- Ensure customer orders are processed correctly and delivered on time
- Communicate any delays or stock issues to customers quickly
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly
- Help manage credit queries including shortages, input errors, returns and complaints
- Online product management
- Ensure new products are uploaded correctly and go live on customer websites
- Check existing listings are accurate, priced correctly and commercially optimised
- Maintain customer and product information such as addresses, prices and barcodes
- Support with marketplace systems where required (knowledge of Mirakl would be an advantage)
- Commercial and team support
- Create sales support materials such as presentations, range plans and quote sheets
- Carry out competitor and price analysis across the wider market
- Review customer website feedback and ratings to identify trends and opportunities
- Provide general support to the commercial team where needed, including preparing samples and helping with customer meetings
Skills Required
- Strong Excel skills are essential – including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and working confidently with large datasets
- Comfortable analysing data and turning it into clear, useful reports
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Confident communicating with both internal teams and customers
- Experience working with online retailers, marketplaces or product listings would be beneficial but not essential
- Around 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial, sales support, merchandising or ecommerce role
- Someone keen to develop their career within a commercial team
- A proactive person who enjoys problem solving and getting things done
