The Company: An excellent opportunity for a Graduate/ Assistant Designer, to join a growing design team who create trend driven products for high street retailers. The ideal candidate will have a Design degree, strong CAD and Excel skills. The company supplies clients such as ASOS, Frazer Group, Urban Outfitters etc with a market in the UK, America, Europe and is building a customer base in Australia. They have great modern offices, a friendly, fun atmosphere and the chance to progress your career as the company’s success grows.

The Role:

  • Working as part of the Design team & reporting to the Designer Manager
  • Helping with day-to-day duties and tasks
  • Logging in samples as they arrive into the office
  • Help team members create tech packs for new developments
  • Completing trend research
  • Design work when requested, such as cadding
  • Work closely with factories to ensure samples and lead times are not delayed
  • Commercially aware of current trends and themes
  • Developing the brand to ensure all products are designed in line with the customers’ direction
  • Managing the critical path and working to tight deadlines
  • Supporting the business in adding value to its clients
  • Other duties as required

Skills Required:

  • Fashion Design Degree
  • MUST have strong CAD skills
  • Good knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel
  • Be organised with the ability to manage a workload & prioritise where required
  • Be creative, enthusiastic & trend driven
  • Good written and verbal communication across all levels
