The Company: An excellent opportunity for a Graduate/ Assistant Designer, to join a growing design team who create trend driven products for high street retailers. The ideal candidate will have a Design degree, strong CAD and Excel skills. The company supplies clients such as ASOS, Frazer Group, Urban Outfitters etc with a market in the UK, America, Europe and is building a customer base in Australia. They have great modern offices, a friendly, fun atmosphere and the chance to progress your career as the company’s success grows.
The Role:
- Working as part of the Design team & reporting to the Designer Manager
- Helping with day-to-day duties and tasks
- Logging in samples as they arrive into the office
- Help team members create tech packs for new developments
- Completing trend research
- Design work when requested, such as cadding
- Work closely with factories to ensure samples and lead times are not delayed
- Commercially aware of current trends and themes
- Developing the brand to ensure all products are designed in line with the customers’ direction
- Managing the critical path and working to tight deadlines
- Supporting the business in adding value to its clients
- Other duties as required
Skills Required:
- Fashion Design Degree
- MUST have strong CAD skills
- Good knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel
- Be organised with the ability to manage a workload & prioritise where required
- Be creative, enthusiastic & trend driven
- Good written and verbal communication across all levels
