The Company: A fantastic opportunity for a Print Design Assistant/ Junior Designer to join an established fashion supplier of generic and license products. The company supply a wide range of products and are looking to recruit someone who will work as part of an established and growing team. The Printables Design Assistant supports the Printables Design Coordinator and wider Creative team in the day-to-day delivery of artwork for the Print-on-Demand (POD) and E-commerce business. This role is responsible for preparing artwork for approvals, ensuring designs meet POD specifications, supporting file management and system uploads, and maintaining accurate trackers to provide visibility across the workflow. The Printables Design Assistant plays a key role in ensuring designs are submitted correctly, amended when required, and uploaded efficiently into PODOS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Approval Responsibilities
    • Submit new designs for approval, including generating codes, completing submission forms, adding details into Centric, and attaching all required reference documents.
    • Create and add 4–5 suitable colourways per design, ensuring colourways are commercially relevant and appropriate to the artwork.
    • Re-scale and format artwork in line with POD specifications for both Adult and Kids products.
    • Track approval status and comments across all submissions, maintaining accurate updates and ensuring the workflow stays on schedule.
    • Amend designs following rejection feedback and resubmit accurately and efficiently.
    • Once approved, ensure designs are correctly added into PODOS and linked to the relevant Centric references.
    • Check artwork quality and resolution, exporting high-resolution PNG files using correct export settings (including super-sampling where required).
    • Re-submit designs when necessary, ensuring all previous style details are included and correctly linking older styles where relevant.
  • Uploading Styles to PODOS
    • Download artwork and upload styles into PODOS.
    • Generate and input product titles, descriptions, pricing, and ensure styles are correctly set up (including disabling where required until ready).
    • Add all approved colourways, referencing Centric to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Update PODOS styles with Centric codes and SKU information once generated.
    • Use rights sheets to correctly apply expiry dates for each licensed property.
    • Update the Live spreadsheet tracker to provide visibility on what is in progress, what is approved, and what is ready for sampling and ordering.
  • File Preparation & Workflow Support
    • Create BNPs for new licenses that are not yet available on PODOS, ensuring PNG files are correctly uploaded and formatted.
    • Maintain running trackers/spreadsheets to ensure clear visibility of all new designs being generated and the current status of each style.
    • Pull, re-scale, and export PNG files from artwork libraries as required to support POD uploads, approvals, and sampling.
    • Support the wider Printables workflow through general design admin, file organisation, and assisting with urgent tasks as needed.

Skills Required

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with file setup, approval submissions, and tracking status updates.
  • Confident working with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, including re-sizing and exporting artwork for print.
  • Understanding of POD specifications, artwork resolution requirements, and print-ready file formats.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems (e.g. Centric PLM, PODOS, trackers/spreadsheets).
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working collaboratively with a wider team.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to follow processes and spot issues before they become problems.

Qualifications

  • BA in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Illustration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
