A fantastic opportunity for a Ladies Jersey and Nightwear Designer to join a successful clothing importer and supplier of Nightwear. You will be designing for clients like Next, Asos and John Lewis. You will support the design team within a fast-paced environment, working on a number of projects at once and liaising with different teams.

The Role:

  • Designing ranges based on seasonal trends for a number of high street stores.
  • Using digital drawing skills to create graphics and print repeats.
  • Create detailed CADS and tech packs.
  • Create specs and ensure all details are correct.
  • Amend current designs and add technical detail to CADs.
  • Work directly with overseas factories.
  • Chase samples and work to a critical path.
  • Conduct seasonal trend research and create presentation packs.
  • Liaise with fabric mills and organise in-house fabric library.
  • Liaise with Far East factories to ensure samples arrive in-house on time.
  • Photograph samples.
  • Create designs, technical packs and mood boards.
  • Create artworks in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Organise the fabric and sample library.
  • Update Excel spreadsheets to log and track samples and fabric developments.
  • Research trends, key fabrics and imagery research, and create mood boards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the internal team and external suppliers.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Exceptional communication and team working skills.
  • Strong hand and digital drawing skills to create graphics and print repeats.
  • Enthusiastic for fashion and the industry.
