The Company: A fantastic opportunity for Fabric Technologist to join a leading, established clothing company. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree with commercial experience and be looking to develop their career in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Fashion and Jersey products is desirable.
The Role: Reporting to the Head of Department.
- Comp shops to source and develop new fabrics.
- Reporting back to the factory for development.
- Managing suppliers to deliver best quality fabrics.
- Ensuring base and bulk testing is completed for on-time delivery.
- Resolving product issues.
- Attending fit sessions with the Garment technologist as and when needed.
- Supporting design and buying teams on technical knowledge.
- Working with suppliers to resolve any quality issues.
- Ensuring suppliers are working towards sustainability targets.
Skills Required:
- Fashion Degree.
- Ideally have worked for a supplier with similar Retailers.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to also work on own initiative.
- Ability to travel as and when required to meet with Buyers and suppliers.
- Ideally you will be able to drive to attend fit meetings.
