About the Company
A fantastic opportunity for Fabric Technologist to join a leading, established clothing company. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree with commercial experience and be looking to develop their career in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Fashion and Jersey products is desirable.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Department.
- Shop to source and develop new fabrics
- Report back to factory for development
- Manage suppliers to deliver best quality fabrics
- Ensure base and bulk testing is completed for on-time delivery
- Resolve product issues
- Attend fit sessions with the Garment technologist as and when needed
- Support design and buying teams with technical knowledge
- Work with suppliers to resolve any quality issues
- Ensure suppliers are working towards sustainability targets
Skills Required
- Fashion Degree
- Ideally have worked for a supplier with similar Retailers
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Team player with the ability to also work on own initiative
- Ability to travel as and when required to meet with Buyers and suppliers
- Ideally able to drive to attend fit meetings
