Do you want to be part of a dynamic & fast growing business? We are seeking a motivated and creative Design Assistant to support the design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent fashion or textile graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the headwear and accessories industry working with well-known brands. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, organised and able to work at a fast pace. You must be able to work well in a team but also have good initiative to work alone, manage tasks effectively, and have good attention to detail.

Responsibilities/tasks:

  • Assist in the development of seasonal collections across men’s and women’s headwear and soft accessories.
  • Support the design team with mood boards, range building and product development.
  • Organise and maintain fabric, trim, and sample libraries.
  • Help prepare for client meetings, presentations, and showroom dressing & organisation.
  • Provide admin support to the design & product development teams, such as photographing and logging samples, chasing factories by e-mail etc.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Fashion/Textiles or related field.
  • A keen interest in accessories and headwear.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • CAD skills (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop) are a plus, but not essential.
  • Positive, proactive and eager to learn.
