Overview

The Company: An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Duty Manager to join a fantastic retailer based in the West Midlands. The main purpose of the role is to lead and manage the trading of your key sales floors.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting Sales Assistants in line with Company policy and legislation.
  • Ensure product is merchandised according to brand guidelines and in line with promotional activity.
  • Ensure visual merchandising are compliant with Company guidelines and policies at all times.
  • Support the development of the sales floor team from induction and ongoing through leadership and coaching increasing levels of performance.
  • Ensure that the highest levels of customer service possible is given by staff members/sales assistants.
  • Manage stock availability in order to maximise sales and operating standards.
  • Manage high standards of health and safety and security within the sales / trading areas of the store.
  • Undertake responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Deliver results for the store in order to meet and exceed targets.
  • Working to and exceeding KPI\’s.
  • Till operation

  • Staff management – rotas, disciplinary\’s, etc

Skills Required / Qualifications

  • Previous retail supervisory experience is essential – minimum 2 years experience
  • Able to run own department
  • Come from a fashion or soft furnishings /homeware background
  • Be able to lead and manage a team
  • Previous experience in dealing with customers
  • Managing a store over 28,000 square foot in the absence of a Store Manager
