An exciting opportunity has become available here in Stockport at our SEAT/Cupra dealership. We are looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team in our impressive facility. This position is ideal for a talented and enthusiastic Workshop Controller aiming to advance their career with a renowned brand. You will supervise and motivate our team of Technicians & Apprentices and proactively review and prioritize the daily workload.
You will be a crucial part of our business and the Aftersales Department, reporting to the Aftersales Manager who will support you with the necessary tools to excel. Additionally, you will have access to brand-specific training to help you progress within the motor trade industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring technicians meet their daily targets. You will assist the Service Manager in providing excellent customer service, achieving profits, and maintaining customer retention. Maintaining high customer satisfaction through quality checks will also be part of your role.
- Ensure all practices comply with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policies.
- Ensure all service work is completed correctly, efficiently, and on time, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers, support technicians during repairs, and uphold high standards within the workshop.
- Coordinate with colleagues and departments to deliver top-quality service.
- Schedule work considering workshop targets, job complexity, and parts availability.
- Support the team with technical challenges and prepare technical reports.
We seek someone friendly, confident, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work well as part of a team. Previous automotive experience, preferably in a franchised dealership, is required. A full valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
