Tag is a production agency with a strong transcreation arm, with offices in London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Singapore and Shanghai. With over 4,000 copywriters and translators across the globe, our ‘in‑market creatives’, we manage copy transcreation, translation, consultation services, copy origination, local client liaison/approvals, voiceover recordings and production: our goal is to make marketing communications work brilliantly in every market. We are also part of Tag, a global leader in Marketing and Communications services.

The role involves working closely with the Transcreation Manager and Senior Transcreation Manager, Tag’s internal production and VO teams, assisting and supporting managing the Transcreation and Language, including translation/transcreation of scripts, press ads or digital ads, voiceover recording, as well as liaising with our in‑market copywriters, translators and VO Directors.

Responsibilities

Overall Description:

  • Manage and take ownership of translation and transcreation projects, ranging from long‑copy translation to complex international campaigns.
  • Brief local copywriters on new global master online, TVC, print and digital to be adapted in their local languages.
  • Brief translators on short and long copy translation projects.
  • Manage and build trusting relationships with local translators and copywriters to translate, adapt copy and proofread artwork.
  • Assess quality of the adaptations received from copywriters under supervision of STM or TM.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of copy and the consistency of messaging/positioning for the brands across all media and markets.
  • Brief local copywriters on VoiceOver direction responsibilities during the VO recording stage of the project.
  • QA check of recorded VoiceOver in a given language as well as QA check of all final language adaptations to go to production team.
  • Analyse files and manage translation projects on the translation portal.
  • Liaise with the localisation team for support on file processing and translation memory management.
  • Liaise with internal teams to support production: VO, video, digital, print, etc.
Project management:
  • Establish and manage project deadlines and budgets.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Understand and follow all the processes and stages independently from beginning to end.
Client management:
  • Take briefs from agencies/clients, ensuring all necessary information is obtained.
  • Manage local and regional client approvals as well as implementing client feedback under supervision of STM or TM.
  • Build solid relationships with different clients/agencies/colleagues with the support of STM/TM.
Skills and Experience required:
  • College/university degree in related field (i.e. English, Linguistics, International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business).
  • Minimum 1 year experience of project management/account handling within a communications agency, marketing services department of an advertiser, production facility, or translation/transcreation agency.
  • Perfect written and spoken English; advanced knowledge of another language is essential.
  • Deep passion for languages and strong semantic analysis skills.
  • Account management / Client servicing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience working across global brands and international markets.
  • Comfortable/experienced working in a creative and highly pressurised environment with tight deadlines.
  • Organised, task‑oriented personality, strong time management skills.
  • Good understanding of advertising production/fulfilment processes.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of translation software and CAT tools.
