The role of Travel Consultant has responsibility for booking and managing all aspects of Production client travel requests. This position ensures the highest possible standards are delivered at all times with a personalised and individual approach to each client. The Travel Consultant conducts their work in accordance with client Service Level Agreements and TAG Policies.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Accurately and effectively service all travel requests from enquiry to reconciliation, ensuring all air, hotel, rail and/or other ancillary service reservations fully meet the client’s expectations.
  • Handle post-booking requests and amend any requested changes, processing reissues where required.
  • Respond to any client queries ensuring these are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Negotiate the best rates and deals from vendors to maximise savings and reduce client expenditure. Seek assistance from colleagues to assess all potential revenue and income streams for maximum company profitability.
  • Ensure all Quality Control (QC) procedures and tasks are followed and all PNRs in Galileo are correct and fully completed.
  • Action all duties with attention to detail to prevent individual error, avoidable company financial losses and to ensure correct information is readily available for continuity of service for all team members.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience within a travel agency.
  • Hotel and air fares ticketing experience.
  • Experience of servicing groups.
  • GDS experience (Galileo preferred).
  • Proven record of working in a fast-paced environment.
