The role involves working closely with the Senior Transcreation Manager, the Transcreation Partner, and Tag’s internal production and VO teams. The Transcreation Manager (TM) will assist in managing Transcreation and Language, including transcreation/translation of scripts, press ads, or digital ads, voiceover recording, and liaising with in-market copywriters, translators, and VO Directors. The TM will also be responsible for line management of Transcreation Executive(s).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and take ownership of transcreation and translation projects, ranging from long-copy translation to complex international campaigns.
  • Ensure creative excellence in projects by following set creative procedures, including interpretation and consolidation of client briefs.
  • Brief local copywriters and translators on new global master content to be adapted in their local languages.
  • Manage relationships with local translators and copywriters to translate, adapt copy, and proofread artwork.
  • Assess quality of adaptations received from copywriters, ensuring accuracy and reliability of copy across all media and markets.
  • QA check recorded VoiceOver and final language adaptations before production.
  • Analyse files and manage translation projects on the translation portal.
  • Liaise with internal teams to support production: VO, video, digital, print, etc.
  • Establish and manage project deadlines and budgets, keeping clients updated on costs.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot technological bottlenecks in workflow and asset management systems.
  • Be commercially aware and highlight any costing errors immediately.
  • Ensure Best Practices are followed.
  • With assistance from the STM, manage the line management of Transcreation Executive(s), including training and mentoring.
  • Take briefs from agencies/clients and ensure all necessary information is obtained.
  • Investigate project issues and propose solutions to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Build solid relationships with clients, agencies, and colleagues.

Skills and Experience required

  • College/university degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management/account handling within a communications agency, marketing services department, or translation/transcreation agency.
  • Perfect written and spoken English; excellent knowledge of another language is essential.
  • Strong semantic analysis skills and a passion for languages.
  • Account management/client servicing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience working across global brands and international markets.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, task-oriented personality with strong time management skills.
  • Good understanding of advertising production processes.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and CMD.
  • Understanding of translation software and CAT tools.
