Overview of SHEQ
Tag maintains a Global SHEQ function that supports all divisions of the business alongside the operational support functions. The function supports mainly internal facing environments. The core activities of the team span ISO certifications, support and delivery of proactive and reactive compliance and assurance activities, and governance setting and monitoring around Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ). The SHEQ Team reports to the ESG Director.
Purpose of the role
The business is required to comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements across health and safety, environment, and quality, additionally achieving the relevant ISO standards relating to these areas of assurance across a number of sites. The role has been established to support the Senior SHEQ Manager in creating a cultural shift to the empowerment of site-based compliance within a strategic business wide approach to SHEQ. The role’s primary aim is to support the Senior SHEQ Manager in the day-to-day management of the SHEQ integrated management system and SHEQ related administrative duties.
Key Performance Indicators
- Support of the maintenance of ISO Certifications 9001, 14001, 45001
- Relationship management
- Management of SHEQ operational documentation
- Completion of internal audits
- Effective contribution to the implementation of a consistent global approach to SHEQ management
Key responsibilities will include:
- To support the Senior SHEQ Manager
- To coordinate the release of SHEQ communications and training
- To raise POs and ensure SHEQ suppliers are paid in a timely manner
- To maintain and update the SHEQ intranet pages
- To support the sites and functional teams to a timely closure of corrections and corrective actions
- To support the Senior SHEQ Manager to provide information for relevant senior management reporting
- To keep up to date with latest SHEQ requirements including legislation and industry best practice
- To support the regional business development teams in response to new client bids to ensure that all bid response documentation best reflects the internal governance protocols in place (for SHEQ owned content)
- To attend and participate in SHEQ meetings (SHEQ led meetings, Green Team meetings)
Skills and Attributes
Essential Skills:
- ISO management systems experience
- Internal auditing experience
- Working knowledge of continual and/or process improvement techniques
- Demonstrable knowledge of compliance and regulatory topics in business and operation environment, and the capability to translate this across multiple jurisdictions at the practical level
- Ability to quickly build knowledge of the business operations and the environment (e.g., regulatory, physical) in which it operates and a general understanding of key generic risks and controls in these areas
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of the creative production and advertising media industry and supply chain sourcing industry
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing. This means excellent written and spoken English;
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to work effectively with remote stakeholders;
- Very strong negotiating and influencing skills;
- Persistence, an eye for detail and accuracy with the ability to manage deadlines;
- Computer literate and highly experienced in Microsoft Office applications;
- Ability to continually develop knowledge and skills to maintain and improve personal performance and effectiveness in a changing environment.
