We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing team based in Bridgend Industrial Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centres to produce small-batch, high-quality precision components. This role would suit a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and experience working to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming, Setting, and Operating CNC Machining Centres producing small-batch high-quality components.
- Work with a range of materials to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Hurco and Doosan CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience with CAD/CAM Software.
- Ability to edit or create CNC Programs.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles.
Personal Skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.
Location
Full Time, Permanent Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday - 7:30am - 1:00pm £15.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience).
