TAG Catering Equipment is looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Key Account Manager to take ownership of a major national client account. This is a hybrid commercial and project delivery role, focused on managing a high‑volume, multi‑site rollout programme (2 - 4 per month) for a key customer in the hospitality sector. The role combines client management, quotation and commercial responsibility, and hands‑on project delivery, supported by in‑house designers and project support coordinators. The position is predominantly focused on a single key account, offering continuity, repeat work, and long‑term client partnership rather than one‑off sales.
The Role
- Key Account Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for a key national client
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with multiple client stakeholders
- Manage expectations across multiple concurrent projects and store openings
- Identify opportunities to add value through specification development and repeat projects
- Commercial & Sales Responsibility
- Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, and commercial offers
- Lead the commercial process from enquiry through order placement
- Negotiate pricing, scope, and delivery requirements while protecting margin
- Deliver agreed revenue, margin, and performance targets linked to the account
- Project Delivery & Coordination
- Take ownership of projects from order placement through to installation and handover
- Act as Project Manager, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
- Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and installation contractors
- Manage programmes, lead times, site readiness, and installation schedules
- Resolve commercial, technical, or delivery issues proactively
- Oversee snagging, handover, and client sign‑off
- Design & Solution Development
- Work closely with in‑house designers to develop compliant, cost‑effective catering equipment solutions
- Interpret client briefs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Support value engineering while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance
- Commercial Control & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records and project documentation
- Track costs, variations, profitability, and margins
- Provide regular progress updates and forecasts to senior management
About You
- Experience in account management, sales, and project delivery within catering equipment, commercial kitchens, office fit‑out, retail fit‑out or foodservice sectors
- Proven ability to manage projects from sale through to delivery and installation
- Strong commercial awareness with confidence around pricing and margin control
- Excellent client‑facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple live projects
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, rollout‑driven environment
- CRM and Microsoft Office experience (AutoCAD / Revit an advantage)
What We Offer
- Basic Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
- Bonus/Commission: Performance‑related, linked to account success and project delivery
- OTE: £45,000 – £50,000
- Opportunity to own and grow a key national account
- Support from an award-winning marketing, sales, design and project delivery team so you can focus on your role
