We are seeking a compassionate and proactive individual to join our team as a Support Assistant within our supported accommodation service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care or support environment, along with a strong understanding of trauma and psychologically informed approaches. You will remain calm under pressure, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills. We value individuals who are digitally savvy, comfortable with agile working, and committed to challenging discrimination in all its forms. A positive, “cando” attitude is essential, as is the ability to build trusting relationships and respond constructively to challenges. What You’ll Do
- Working weekends on a rolling shift pattern in accordance with the service rota.
- Supporting vulnerable young women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them to make positive changes in their lives. This involves building trusting relationships and taking a “work‑with” approach to support residents in achieving their goals and successfully moving on into independent accommodation.
- Responsibilities include following the support plans agreed by service users and their support officers, as well as adhering to safety and risk plans designed to maintain the safety of the project.
