Would you like to work for a community-focused, dynamic, and growing organisation? We are looking for an individual to join our in-house Gas Servicing and Installation Team, someone who can bring knowledge, expertise, and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service. As part of the Repairs Team, you'll be encouraged to develop your skills, share your experience, remain flexible in your approach, and play an integral role within Taff's team. We provide ongoing training and support to help you continue building your skills and knowledge. You will also receive a fully insured and stocked works van, fuel card, PPE, and uniform.
What You'll Do
- Deliver a high-quality, cost-effective repairs, maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance service to Taff Housing Association and its customers.
- Carry out a full range of repairs, maintenance, and planned improvement tasks, with a primary focus on gas works across various domestic properties within Taff's areas of operation.
- Undertake additional multi-skilled duties as required by the needs of the business, including, on occasion, working outside your usual area of operation.
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Good general education.
- Gas qualifications (ACS, CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, CPA1).
- Experience in gas servicing, landlord safety certification maintenance, and installation works.
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in plumbing & heating.
- A comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of gas and plumbing work.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Effectively organise use of own time and available resources.
- Organise, plan, and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Demonstrate a conscientious approach to meeting the needs of tenants, thus ensuring a high-quality service is delivered.
- Competent in the use of smartphone technology, including the ability to send and receive emails, calendar appointments, documents, and photographs.
- Experience using job scheduling software.
- Able to use a PDA to complete certification.
- Ability to sustain a professional relationship with clients and colleagues and be aware of boundaries.
- Ability to represent the organisation and network with other agencies and develop relationships in a professional manner.
- Actively seek out ways of doing things differently and embrace changes.
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
- Complete all works in accordance with the specifications, in compliance with relevant legislation, trade body and industry standards and best practice.
- Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and health and safety procedures and approved codes of practice, as appropriate.
