Our vision is to provide great homes and services and enable communities to thrive. We are looking for an inspirational leader who can empower, inspire and support colleagues to deliver our vision. Our strategic plan sets out our clear intentions to provide homes people can be proud of and to be a force for good in our communities. It is rightly aspirational and sets out our ambitions for the future.
The incoming Executive Director will inherit a high performing directorate, delivering services to tenants and service users across Cardiff and South East Wales. You will ensure we embed our values of trust, ambition, learning, and kindness in all that we do, and these are evident in our service delivery. You will place the customer experience as central to successful delivery, ensure we remain focused on investing in our homes, and strengthen our role in supporting communities.
There are exciting things happening; we are embracing digital technology and artificial intelligence to modernise how we deliver services, creating a workplace culture where people feel valued and recognised, and strengthening our reputation as an employer of choice. We will continue to develop new homes, expand our support offer as well as improve the quality of our existing homes.
We don’t expect you to have had experience leading all the functions under this role’s remit, but we do require you to have a firm grasp of the key matters related to delivering excellent housing, property and support services. Crucially, we are looking for someone who is purpose led, with energy and ambition, and a 'can do' approach. This job is not about managing 'as is' but about leading and inspiring people to think and do differently.
