We're looking for a proactive Compliance & Facilities Manager who will lead our landlord compliance, estates, and facilities functions at Taff. In this vital role, you will ensure our homes and buildings are safe, well managed, and fully compliant with legislation and regulatory requirements. You will oversee statutory compliance programmes, drive high performance through strong data insight and governance, and manage teams to deliver a customer‑focused, high‑quality service.

- Lead on the planning, monitoring and delivery of landlord compliance programmes, ensuring robust governance, transparent reporting and continuous improvement.
- Lead on the delivery of a safe, high‑performing and customer‑focused estates team, ensuring services align with organisational priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Hold overall accountability for landlord compliance performance, overseeing the use of KPIs, dashboards and data analytics to drive continuous improvement, inform decision‑making and provide assurance to senior leadership.
- Lead the procurement, appointment and performance management of external contractors, ensuring contractual compliance, quality standards, and value for money outcomes for customers.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Compliance and Facilities Teams, ensuring high performance and embed a culture of accountability and ownership.
- Ensure full compliance with landlord health & safety legislation, housing standards and regulatory requirements, providing assurance that systems, processes and controls demonstrate legal and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the systems, processes and controls required to maintain full landlord compliance, ensuring all statutory servicing, inspections and remedial actions are accurately recorded, tracked and completed within management plan timescales demonstrating legal and regulatory compliance.
- Provide senior oversight of data assurance processes, including internal audits, quality checks and participation in external audits, ensuring the integrity and reliability of compliance data.
- Act as Taff's expert on compliance, interpreting legislation, advising on regulatory changes, and ensuring policies, procedures and management plans remain current and fit for purpose to deliver safe and healthy homes.
- Manage the compliance and facilities budgets, ensuring resource planning and expenditure deliver value for money and meet operational requirements.
- Drive a programme of continuous improvement by using data insights, audit findings and sector best practice to innovate and enhance service delivery.
- Lead the interpretation and presentation of compliance and facilities performance data for senior leadership, including KPI performance, risk reporting and management information for BI and governance meetings.
- Ensure any issues or incidents are escalated appropriately, providing solution‑focused leadership and mitigating organisational risk.
- Take ownership of escalations and complaints, resolving issues decisively and ensuring learning is embedded to improve customer experience and service delivery.
- Participate in our on‑call rota, acting as an escalation point when required for our out of hours emergency service.
- Lead on internal and external audits and inspections, ensuring actions are tracked and assurance is provided.
- Be a leader and role model for colleagues, engaging in organisational projects to improve our services for tenants.
- Work collaboratively and in partnership with colleagues across the organisation, providing senior professional advice, challenge and support to enable effective delivery of corporate objectives.
