We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Plumber to join our Repairs Team, someone who can bring knowledge, expertise and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service. As part of the Repairs Team, you will be encouraged to develop your skills, share your experience, remain flexible in your approach and play an integral role within Taff's team. We provide ongoing training and support to help you continue building your skills and knowledge.

What you'll do...

  • Maintain the homes and communal facilities of Taff Housing residents to a high quality.
  • The service aims to provide homes that are safe, comfortable, well maintained and located in environments that are pleasant for all users.

What you'll bring to the role...

  • Good communication skills including basic written skills.
  • Plumbing NVQ 2/3 or equivalent.
  • Competent installing a Bath, basin, toilet, cladding, etc.
  • Basic carpentry, plaster patching, wall tiling and guttering.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety.
  • Ability to record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs.
  • Experience of working with a range of portable tools, small plant, ladders and equipment to enable duties of the job to be carried out.
  • IT literate.
  • Asbestos non-licensable removal.
  • A flexible approach to varied work.
  • Effective team member with a team-based approach.
  • Committed to providing professional customer service.
  • Ability to drive/full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with tenants and other service users.
  • Understanding of professional boundaries.
  • Understanding of and a commitment to equal opportunities.
  • Willingness to learn and develop additional skills.
  • Be culturally aware and respond to the diverse requirements and needs of individuals.
