About the Role

This role will manage the Cross Business Quality and Warranty activities based within the Project Management Office.

Focus on current, forward model quality and launch activities of new products.

Engaging with Engineering (Systems, HW and SW) and Operations to ensure all aspects of Quality are understood, monitored and developed.

Qualifications, Functional Experience & Skills

  • Establish best practice of TAE e Mobility Quality & Warranty
  • Support and lead aspects of the delivery of the Quality Strategy
  • Drive the use of Quality toolsets across the Business ensuring Quality standards and requirements are maintained
  • Development and maintain key Quality metrics to support Governance meeting cadence
  • Drive better Quality decisions along with structured problem solving across the business
  • Lead central co‑ordination of issue management
  • Coach/Support design and manufacturing teams on FMEA creation, reviews, updates and cascade of CC/SCs.
  • Drive Advanced Quality Planning process for pre‑production projects and prototype builds including linkage to project plans and its technology and product deliverables.
  • Drive the Quality challenges within the Business
  • Engage with leading stakeholders
  • Support Continuous improvements and best practice in support of Quality roadmap
  • Support annual Quality process improvements
  • Ensure that Environmental, Health & Safety, quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
  • Promotes Environmental Health & Safety awareness
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned in line with the requirements of the role.
  • Required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry
  • Experienced leader of SFMEA, SC/CCs cascade, DFMEA, SC/CCs cascade, PFMEA, Control Plans, Inspection Documents
  • Ensure end to end FMEA process is supported and given priority (coach teams)
  • Experience of Data driven decision making
  • Experienced leader of APQP, PPAP activities (implement and coordination)
  • Structured Problem Solving with all Quality domains (8D, DMAIC, Tools (is/is-not, Ishikawa, hypothesis testing, etc.))
  • Able to drive investigation in Manufacturing and deliver Quality improvements.
  • Demonstrable experience in quality procedure / system mapping and delivery (e. g. Lessons Learned or Deviations/Concessions)
  • Expertise in Hardware Electronics components (PCB, EMC)
  • Preferred
  • A degree or similar qualification in an engineering discipline (Hardware Electronics and/or Software)
  • Awareness of external Quality standards (eg ISO)
  • Experienced in Electronics, Mechanical, EDS, Manufacturing and Software
  • Experienced in EDS and battery technology.
  • System or Knowledge
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office and applications (i. e. MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Power Automate, Share Point Online).
  • Experience of Business Management Systems including ISO9001
