From electric vehicle drivetrains and ultrafast charging to stationary energy storage and grid efficiencies, we develop a clean energy ecosystem of proprietary technology designed to go faster, perform stronger, travel farther, and last longer. As a member of the Software team, you will be working on the development of I nverter and Motor Control / BMS / Charging application software for a range of demonstrator and production projects. You will be involved in all stages of the software development process, guide and mentor other more junior engineers within the team, take an active part in the estimation and planning of new projects, and liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and other engineering teams within TAE Power Solutions (TPS). Provide technical delivery and leadership of application software activities Creation and management of software requirements Take an active part in the architectural design of the software Be involved in the implementation and testing of the application software using a model-based development approach Report progress and status to project teams at TPS and the client Represent the wider Software Group and TPS team in front of the customer A degree or similar in a software or controls engineering discipline A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in automotive control systems, especially in one of Inverter / Motor Control, Battery Management System, DC / AC Charging applications Fault finding and diagnosis experience in complex automotive powertrain systems Understanding of electrical and electronic circuits CAN based calibration and monitoring tools like CANape/INCA and CANalyzer Microsoft Office applications The interaction between the application and the base software The use of software debugging tools C programming language Self-motivated, creative, and adaptive team player Able to prioritise and organise project workloads, schedules, and tasks Strong presentation, report writing and communication skills We work daily at the frontiers of science, to deliver products that lead humanity into a brighter era.
