This is a flexible hybrid role (physical contact to site to be discussed). At TAE Power Solutions, we design power management systems that use less but do more. We develop a clean energy ecosystem of proprietary technology designed to go faster, perform stronger, travel farther, and last longer.

We’re seeking a driven Business Development Director with a strong hunter mindset to accelerate our growth. This high-impact role reports to the e-Mobility General Manager and offers significant exposure to senior leadership, along with clear progression opportunities. The focus is simple: identify, engage, and secure new customers across key markets while contributing to our commercial strategy and overall sales growth.

The primary focus for the Business Development Director role will be to generate new business by proactively identifying, engaging, and securing new clients within key market sectors. You will contribute strategically to sales growth plans and play a vital role in achieving our success.

  • Identification, quantitative analysis, and creation of new business opportunities, in partnership with Marketing, Engineering and wider E-Mobility Business Unit.
  • Building deep, longstanding relationships with key customers.
  • Gathering feedback and intelligence from the market, to further influence product development and business model definition.
  • Create and deliver a sales plan to achieve the company's revenue and customer targets.
  • Lead the collaborative activities across the business to deliver compelling proposals that meet our customers’ requirements.
  • Spearhead proactive new client acquisition efforts resulting in new business opportunities to drive profitable sales growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical team to deliver compelling proposals that meet our customers’ requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed growth targets across multiple outreach channels.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, ensuring opportunities are qualified, and make compelling presentations of our capabilities.
  • Provide commercial leadership and expertise as an integral part of the team in a unique, fast-paced, and innovative environment.

Exceptional technical sales track record within a relevant industry sector.

  • At least 7+ years sales experience working in the Automotive / Defence / Marine / Aerospace sectors.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software aspects of electrified mobility technology.
  • Excellent and creative analytical skills (Excel-based at minimum), to assess and develop novel business/partnership models.
  • Successful experience in the pricing and negotiation of development programs and component sales.
  • Expert in sales process and strategic planning.
  • The Business Development Director will be a natural leader, competent in working cross-functionally and building a team with a hands-on approach.
  • Have an already established network in the E-Mobility sectors.
  • Relevant technical degree and/or MBA.
