The company is leveraging unique power management technology originally developed for nuclear fusion and applying it in adjacent industries including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC Fast Charging for electric vehicles.
About the Role
As a Principal Engineer in the Systems Architecture team, you will take a lead role in the development of feature-functionality in order to meet customer level requirements. Decomposing and analysing requirements from the stakeholder level down to detailed technical specifications for adoption by hardware and software. In this role you will bring together a cross functional team of systems, hardware, software and test engineers to drive the delivery of features with our next generation battery-inverter technology that will revolutionize the e-mobility space. Involves challenging engineering and systems-thinking.
- Lead/support the development of a feature through MBSE practices bringing together a cross functional team.
- Provide technical expertise in AC and DC charging (inc. Veh.->Grid).
- Actively participate and/or lead System Engineering interface with HW and SW Design teams.
- Perform S-FMEA, D-FMEA level analysis.
- Build SysML Models & Diagrams in Enterprise Architect for features.
- Ensure that Environmental, Health & Safety, quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
- Promotes Environmental Health & Safety awareness.
- Any other reasonable duties assigned in line with the requirements of the role.
Qualifications, Functional Experience & Skills Required
- MBSE modelling, use of models in the transition to SW and hardware.
- Technical experience in the design and/operation of HV Charging (& Ideally DCDC Conversion).
- Experience working with SysML or Enterprise Architect toolchain.
- Experienced in System-Level FMEA.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics etc).
Preferred
- Master’s or PhD in relevant field desirable.
