AI Deployment Engineer // Stratford-upon-Avon // Up to Β£50,000 // 12 Month FTC
What if you could join an established software business and have the freedom to completely rethink how technical documentation is produced using AI?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a greenfield AI project, where you'll be encouraged to experiment, introduce new ideas and build something from scratch.
They're looking for an AI Deployment Engineer to explore how Generative AI and automation can transform the way technical and product documentation is created.
What do they do?
The business develops a complex software platform used within manufacturing environments.
They want someone to explore how AI can turn technical information, such as developer notes, Jira tickets, diagrams, PDFs and recorded conversations, into clear documentation and step-by-step instructions for customers.
You'll be given the autonomy to:
- Explore and recommend different AI and automation tools
- Build prompts, templates and repeatable AI workflows
- Turn complex technical information into clear customer-facing documentation
- Work with developers to understand new features and technical information
- Review AI-generated content for accuracy and quality
- Introduce new ideas and improve how documentation is produced
The exciting part?
They don't have all the answers yet.
They want someone who's genuinely excited by AI, enjoys experimenting with new technology and naturally thinks about how things could be done better.
You'll have the freedom to explore what's possible and build a completely new approach.
Who are they looking for?
They're flexible on background.
You could be a Technical Writer who's embraced AI, an AI/Automation Consultant with documentation experience, or someone from a technical or engineering environment.
What's important is that you:
- Have experience creating technical documentation or explaining complex information clearly
- Have hands-on experience with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot
- Are interested in building AI workflows and automating processes
- Understand technical concepts, software workflows and ideally basic code or SQL
- Are creative, curious and full of ideas about how AI can improve processes
- Can work independently and take ownership without lots of hand-holding
You don't need to be a developer or an AI researcher. Your curiosity, technical understanding and ability to innovate are what matter most.
This isn't a traditional documentation role.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how AI is adopted, experiment with new technologies and build something that could fundamentally change how the business operates.
You'll also receive:
- 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
- Free onsite parking and onsite gym
- Dog-friendly office and casual dress
- Catered team lunch every fortnight
- Countryside office environment
Contract: Initial 12-month FTC, with the potential to become permanent.
