Lead Recruitment Consultant @ Tact – Software Engineering
Software Engineer – 100% Fully Remote – £55,000 + benefits – .NET 8/Azure/ Domain Driven Design/ Microservices
Please only apply for this role if you are in North West England or Yorkshire. (Give or take, of course – if you’re based 10 miles outside Yorkshire, still apply.)
Even though the role is 100% remote, they have an office in Manchester that some of the team use to meet up every so often (on their own terms), so they are looking to maintain this.
This role is for a Manchester-based household name brand who are classed as a \”unicorn\” (worth over £1 billion) in the e-commerce sector.
You\’d be working for a company that has a great road map and will give you the opportunity to create brand new products from scratch, all the way through to production and then iterating them to get better.
Their culture nurtures and grows individuals, and it\’s a huge point of pride for the company. For e.g. they don\’t externally hire Senior and Leads. They train and grow mid-levels in-house and promote them when they are ready to take a step up. Generally, this is around 12 – 15 months after joining the business.
You are their ideal person if you are someone who geeks out on creating a great solution even when the problem sounds boring to your mates.
They are all about good implementations and solving problems. Rather than using all the latest tech. It is worth saying that they have hardly any legacy and webforms apps.
What they are looking for:
- You should have some good knowledge of C#/.NET ecosystem
- Experience with databases, ideally CosmosDB or SQL Server using Entity Framework
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, ideally Azure, but AWS is fine.
- Experience with Microservices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, they use Azure DevOps
- Any experience with ElasticSearch and Domain Driven Design would be great, but not a deal breaker
- A strong passion for personal development – if someone creates their own projects or keeps up to date with the latest trends, they love that!
